Tuesday Update - What a Nice Day for Ceil

Ceil woke up this morning alert and energetic.  We will have a quiet morning, doing the usual therapies. etc.  We will be going to a wake this afternoon for a long-time friend and neighbor.  Visitors will be coming after dinner to bring Ceil some Christmas cheer and cookies!  Oh boy!

Monday

Doug will be coming to take Ceil to her therapy this morning at the plaza.  Speech and PT are the schedule for this morning.  Many thanks to Doug for all the help and support!  It means a lot to Linda and I.  Doug and Ceil did go to lunch after therapy.  They also did some running around town.  Ceil, Linda, and I will be going on an outing later today, (weather permitting) to get out and enjoy the holiday decorations and people watch.  The weather won out today.  We will try again tomorrow to go on the outing.  Ceil has been delighted will all the wonderful Christmas cards she has received from friends and family.  Thank you all and have a very blessed Christmas!

Sunday

The snow is gently falling now, and Ceil is watching it fall outside the picture window.  She enjoyed a waffle breakfast with Linda and I this morning.  Larry also called and talked to Ceil and Linda.  Ceil always enjoys the calls from Larry.  I am sure today will be a quiet and uneventful day for all of us.  We did go to the mall to people watch and window shop today.  We beat the rush, so It was a nice quiet time at the mall.

Saturday with the Kids

Ceil was up and ready to go this morning.  I think she was excited about her kids coming to visit this morning.  Kevin, Colleen, and Brian are on the road now, coming to spend the morning with Ceil.  Should be a great morning for Ceil.  The crew went shopping for Christmas dinner, and then to lunch at Sammy's Pizza.  After Ceil's nap, they spent some quality time visiting and enjoying good conversation.  It was a very nice day for Ceil.

Friday Update

Ceil is doing very well this morning.  She enjoyed a pancake and bacon breakfast.  She also did some spinning while watching the Food Network.   Later we will do some speech therapy and EMPI muscle stimulation.  Not sure what the rest of the day will hold, but stay tuned!

Thursday Therapy at the Plaza

Doug will be with Ceil this morning at the plaza for her PT session.  They will go on an outing afterward.  Should be a nice morning for Ceil.  Ceil did really well at therapy today according to Doug, and worked very hard for the PT.  Afterward, they went to Walmart and Sam's Club to shop and look around.   Then it was off to Anton's for lunch.  Ceil enjoyed a hamburger and chips.  Doug also reported that Ceil is very sharp and observant, as she pointed out to him that he had dropped his credit card and glove.  This is very good news indeed!

The Dynavision Board

Ceil had a great morning at the Plaza.  She had speech and OT today.  Ceil worked very hard in both sessions.  OT had Ceil back at the Dynavision board working on her right side recognition.  Ceil did really well with her left hand, and very nicely with her right hand, assisted by her left hand.  Below is a video of Ceil working on the Dynavision board.  It is a bit dark, but I think you will understand what is going on.
