The weekend- Errands and a little visiting

April 28th- Ceil woke up this morning with a smile on her face.  As she was getting ready for the day Little Christopher peeked around the corner to say "hi"!  The four of us (Ceil, Rob, Linda and the little man) enjoyed scrambled eggs with yellow rice for breakfast (it smelt like Ybor City in the morning- just the espresso coffee was missing).  After breakfast we strapped ourselves in the van and headed to Crossroads. Ceil needed a haircut. We lucked out- Great Clips was running a $7.99 haircut special.  Pippa did a great job as always giving Ceil a hip and fun summer haircut. After Ceil's nap we took a trip over to Big Lots.  We found a deal on coffee and a few other items.  We decided to drop in the Fletchers to see how they were doing and in return we got an invitation to stay for a pizza dinner.  Ceil loves pizza so it was a difinite yes to the invite.  After dinner, we came back home, watched a little TV and went to bed.

April 29th- After a light breakfast, we headed to Sam's Club. As we waited in line to renew our Sam's Club membership, I turn around and there's Kurt Buttweiler and his family saying hello to Ceil.  Ceil was SOO happy to see them!  We chatted and got caught up on their lives and Ceil's life at home.  Ceil was full of hugs and kisses for Kurt's kids.  We picked up some needed items for the house and headed home for lunch.  Ceil is napping now. Not sure what the rest of the day will bring...we'll see what happens.
Christopher loves riding in his Great Gramma's chair with her...here they are watching Rob make breakfast for them.

Kurt Buttweiler and his family- Ceil was so happy to run into them.

april 21

tuesday morning Mom, Denise and Karen got their eyebrows done at the Beauty School.  The young lady doing my eyes was from Bagley so we had a lot to talk about.  Wednesday Mickie, Mom and Karen went to the dance at the Legion in St. Augausta. So many friends from Medina stopped by the table to say Hi to Mom. Mom had a wonderful time. We even talked to an old neighbor who played in the band.  Thursday Mom, Mickie and Karen went shopping at Kohl's and then came home for the day. Friday Doug, Mom, Kevin and Karen went grocery shopping- Coborn's in Sauk Rapids and then to Sam's Club. After Mom's rest Mom, Kevin and Karen took a walk--it was to nice to be indoors. Saturday morning was shower day and nails day done by Denise. I called later after 7 to see if Marlene had stopped by and she was there visiting with Denise, Mom and Kevin. Linda and Rob home tomorrow.  Pictures to follow.

Sunday April 15

It has been a long week for Mom with much going on.  Starting with her good bye to Linda and Rob as they headed out for a vacation on Wednesday. They drove down to Texas going to areas they lived many years ago and not sure what else they had planned for their anniversary get away.  Wednesday Mickie and Mom came to pick me up and we headed to Wal Mart to pick up a birthday present for Brian. Came home and had sandwiches, beets and fruit for lunch.  When Denise got off work she came. She made meatloaf for supper. Yum. Thursday Doug, Mom and Karen went for coffee at Target running into Pat and Rene Buttweiler.  When I told him I was just showing Mom a picture of Olga Lund on a trip to Colorado Pat had to tell the story of driving home in a snow storm and Denise and Linda first drove with Irv and Olga then drove with Pat and Rene. (or it could be the other way around. So that was fun to hear. Thursday lunch was Dickie's (what else to eat on aThursday??) Pork sanwiches then home for lunch and rest. Karen scared the beejeebies out of Doug. I tripped over Robbie's dog and injured my knee. Doug put a brace on and that kept swelling down. Thursday supper Annie came and home made pizza. Denise came and we visited. Friday Ann, Mom and Karen went shopping to see if we could find Mom some new clothes. We found a few things. A lasagna supper Denise, Hannah, david, Leo and Cecelia. Katie, Stevie and Christopher were there to visit also.  Mom's sisters-Doris and Maxine came and finally got to eat after driving down from Bemidji. Saturday found us of course at Saver's. When Mom had had enough she said I want to go home. Home for nap. Roast beef supper for 16 that night. We started celbrating Brian's birthday with one of the 2 cakes Denise made. Cousin Mary and her son came to town for the day to see Mom and joined us for supper. Finally up to today. After Mom's shower we waited for Brian and Mickie to come cook a birthday lunch. Mickie made chicken enchiladas. Yum. more cake and more presents for Brian. That is all for now. I will post photos in a few posts because there are so many of them.

Monday April 7th

Mom, Denise and Karen went grocery shopping this morning. Mom helped picking out foods we might like to have over the next week or so. Yes to some things and no to others. Some menu items she chose are lasagna and meatloaf. She said yes to Karen's seafood enchiladas so we got the needed items to make it. After shopping off to lunch at The Olive Garden. Spaghetti with meat sauce, bread stick and salad were Mom's choice. Then back home for a rest.

Easter Sunday

Hello all~ it's Karen posting about Easter at Brian and Mickie's.  IT was cool and windy so after a short visit on the driveway Mom headed in to sit on the sofa and catch a few winks of sleep while people came. When she woke up she saw who all came. Old neighbors- Wendy and Tammy and Emily. Colleen's family(Mary and Wayne--Kevin and Julie and their 2 children) and friends of Mickie. Lots of people to talk to and visit while we had turkey, ham, all kinds of side dishes that were so good. Two kinds of deviled eggs to do a taste. After dinner an egg hunt for little ones and also not so little ones too. Then onto cakes-pies and desserts that were so yummy. Mom and Doug headed out at around 3. It was a very nice and fun day. Thanks to Brian and Mickie for hosting.
Note: the chalk drawing Brian did is not a self portrait--it is a drawing of big foot for Little CC.
The 3 CC's in last photo are Mom, Cecelia and Colleen's niece CC.  I am sorry I do not know how to spell her name but it is like Celeia. (sounds almost like Cecelia)
