Sunday

Ceil is doing great today.  She was excited to go on an outing this morning.  We went to various shops and ended up at Crossroads.  As we were leaving, Ceil pointed to Famous Dave's and gestured that she wanted to go there.  So, we had a nice lunch at Famous Dave's and Ceil really enjoyed herself.  Another moment of happiness for all of us.  That's what it is all about.

Saturday

Ceil enjoyed a pancake and bacon breakfast this morning.  Then Denise came and gave Ceil a shower and stayed for lunch.  They read birthday cards.  Ceil read the cards out loud!  Ceil was also very verbal with Denise and communicated very well with her.  Later, Claude came for dinner and a nice visit with Ceil.  Overall, a good Saturday for Ceil. 

Friday Update

Doug and Ceil went to the St. Ben's craft fair this morning.  Sister M&M had a birthday gift for Ceil. What a great surprise.   Afterward, they went out to lunch at Rockville's Granite Edge Cafe.  Ceil enjoyed her time with sister M&M.  Now we are having a quiet evening with Adam, as he tries to devour another large portion of artery clogging food.

Speech Therapy at the Plaza

Ceil finally got in for speech therapy at the plaza today.  It was an assessment session, but it went really well.  Ceil remembered a lot from her time with Jane.  The therapist was impressed with Ceil's ability to read certain words, and pick out objects.  Looking forward to more session with the new therapist.  Afterward, we went to Walmart for an outing.

Wednesday Update

Ceil had therapy this morning.  Ceil struggled with PT, but did really well with OT.  After therapy we went to Sam;s Club for supplies.  As we were rounding the corning by the supply area, there was Doug.  He was on his break,so we had lunch with him.  We had a slice of pizza and a nice visit with Doug.  We will have to go light for dinner.  See you soon.

Ceil Voted Today!

Earlier today we went to the mall for a walk and shopping.  As we came into Target, we saw David and Kathy.  What a great surprise for Ceil.  We talked and caught up on the news of the family.  It was great seeing them today.  Later that day, Ceil voted!  It was a great thing to see her vote.  Linda assisted her, but Ceil made all the choices herself.   Ceil was all smiles afterward.  That's what it is all about - everyday!

Monday

Ceil had a good day at therapy with Doug.  Doug reported that she did really well with the new leg brace.  Ceil wore her new outfit she got for her birthday.  Very nice!
