Monday Update

Ceil is doing great this morning.  We are now going to do therapy at home, and I will be looking into various educational materials and visual aids to use for OT and speech.  Today will be about the usual therapies, and a couple of special projects for Ceil to do around her home.  This will give her a chance to make the decision on what to keep or throw out as she cleans and sorts through her household items, i.e., cleaning supplies, makeup, etc.  More to come...
Mary and Wayne sent a thoughtful and beautiful valentine's day card to Ceil.  She was so delighted!

Superbowl Sunday

Ceil is up and doing great this morning.  No solid plans for today, just resting and watching cooking shows for now.  We will see what the day will bring.  Being home gives Ceil so many more options for participating in events and activities, and the freedom to get up and go in a moments notice. This is a wonderful thing.

Saturday is Festerday!

Ceil is doing really great this morning.  She is excited that Brian, (aka Fester) and Micki are coming to spend the morning with her.  Ceil will be treated a whirlwind trip through Savers, the Mall, and lunch.  Oh boy!  Story and pictures to follow - Well, after Ceil's afternoon nap, we decided to call Denise to see if we could come over for dinner, and an impromptu early birthday party.  Denise was excited to have Ceil come, but was not aware that we were planning to give some early gifts for her birthday.  It was a wonderful time, and Bill and Denise were great hosts, as usual.  The dinner was great, as was the conversation.  Afterward, Denise brought out some of the coconut cake that she made late last week.  We put a candle on the remaining cake and sang happy birthday to Denise.  It was a sweet moment for Denise and Ceil, as they blew out the single candle together.  A really good time.

Friday Update

Ceil is up and doing wonderfully this morning.  After enjoying a healthy breakfast, Ceil received communion from a deacon of the church this morning.  We are so thankful that St. Pete's takes time to do this for her.   It will be a quiet morning for the most part, focusing on passive therapies and speech.  No plans for later today.

Off to the Plaza

Ceil was up and doing great this morning.  Doug came to take her to the plaza this morning.  This will be Ceil's last day at the the plaza.  We will now focus on home-based therapy for Ceil.  It is a pleasure to be able to provide therapy for Ceil in her own home.  We count our blessings everyday, and strive to do the best we can for Ceil, everyday.

Wednesday Update

Ceil is doing great today!  Too cold outside to go anywhere this morning, and nothing special planned for later today.  Just a quiet day at home for Ceil.
Ceil enjoying the morning sun on the recumbent bike

Working hard!
Marlene made a house call to give Ceil a Mary Kay make-over.  Thank you Marlene!

Sharing a laugh.

Good friends enjoying the moment.

Ceil still has the motherly touch.  Baby Christopher was so quiet while in her arms.

Tuesday Update

Ceil is doing great on this Tuesday morning.  Nothing special planned today, just the usual daily activities that help keep us on track.  Marlene stopped by for a visit after dinner.  Ceil and Marlene are good friends, and Ceil really enjoys when Marlene visits to share her stories and catch up on current events.
Ceil is wearing her Arizona sweat shirt.
Today's task for Ceil was sorting through, and throwing out old tubes and containers of shampoo and conditioner that have been around for years.  Ceil gets to throw and keep what she wants, and it is good OT as well.
