Ceil had a great weekend with the girls. Linda is now back home and things are getting back to normal. Looking forward to the new week ahead. Below are pictures from the weekend. See you tomorrow.

Hospital Visit
Ceil and the girls came to visit Linda in the hospital this afternoon. What a pleasant surprise for Linda. Ceil and the girls were decked out with fun props and lighted sunglasses. Linda is doing fine and will be released from the hospital tomorrow. Ceil is having a lot of fun with her daughters going to a party at Good Shepherd, shopping at Savers, and helping with dinner prep. Thanks to Denise, Karen, and Annie for being there for Linda and I during this difficult time. We will be back at it on Monday, and the story of Ceil's recovery will continue on as usual. See you tomorrow.

New Leg Brace and a Visitor from California!
Ceil got her new leg brace this morning from Great Steps. She was a bit put off by the brace at first, but when she stood with it on, she was very happy with it. It is very supportive and will make a big difference in her therapy. It is nice to see good things happening for Ceil and her recovery. Later, Tim L. and Bill L. came to visit Ceil. What a happy surprise for Ceil! We had a great visit, with lots of memories and funny stories from Tim. Great to see them.

All in a Day's Therapy...
Sometimes a little pep-talk is needed to get Ceil going at the beginning of therapy.

Tuesday Update
Ceil spent the morning with Doug, as I needed to attend to business this morning. Thank you Doug! Doug and Ceil went to crossroads and did some shopping and visiting with old friends. They went to Arby's for lunch, which Ceil enjoyed very much. Later, we had a nice sausage dinner. Ceil enjoys watching the Biggest Loser, which she will do this evening with Linda. Tomorrow will bring therapy at the plaza and more stories of recovery and small victories, which makes every day matter. See you then.

Monday
Monday was a bit windy and wet. Doug came and took Ceil to therapy this morning. Doug reported that Ceil gave it her all for both PT and OT. We had a nice dinner, and Ceil is now watching Princess O'Rourke. A comedy about a pilot and a princess who have a whirl-wind romance during WWII. A shower is coming afterward, and then off to bed. See you tomorrow.

Sunday
Ceil spent the morning with Denise, as Linda and I needed to move our son to a new apartment. Kevin, Joe, David, and Ken were kind enough to help. Thanks! It was a nice day for Ceil, as she spent time with Denise, Karen, and her family.

Saturday
Ceil has been having a pretty quiet day so far. We did go out for lunch to Mexican Village. We had to get out for a breath of fresh air. The weather has taken a turn for the worse, so we will be spending the evening indoors.

Thursday Update
Ceil is off to see Dr. Danielson this morning. This is just a check-up and review of how Ceil is doing in her recovery. Ceil will be seeing Dr. Schlosser in the near future to reevaluate her Dilantin dosage and other important issues regarding her recovery.
Happy fall!
Halloween is coming!
"Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough, and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos to order, confusion to clarity. It can turn a meal into a feast, a house into a home, a stranger into a friend. Gratitude makes sense of our past, brings peace for today, and creates a vision for tomorrow.” - Melody Beattie

Wednesday and the Accidental Breakfast
More therapy this morning at the plaza. Looking forward to seeing Dr. Schlosser again to reevaluate Ceil's Dilantin dose and hopefully find a way to increase her energy level during the day.
I made Ceil eggs, bacon, and toast for breakfast this morning. What I didn't realize, is that when I plated the food I made a face. I only noticed it when I put it on the table. I then quickly had the breakfast say, "good morning Ceil", which made Ceil smile and giggle. Then I had to get a picture. I am grateful for each day to be a part of Ceil's recovery, and that Ceil can find enjoyment and pleasure in the simple things, while living in her own home.

At the plaza for PT and OT. Ceil did really well today. The PT tried the treadmill, but Ceil was not ready for it just yet. However, Ceil did gave it a college try.
In OT, Ceil was relearning things that were once second nature. She did very well and used a lot of creative thinking to get the job done.

Tuesday
Ceil is starting her day with a good bowl of oatmeal. We will do morning therapies and take a walk when it warms up a bit. Ceil had a mellow day after our walk and spinning. We had hamburgers on the grill for dinner, which Ceil really enjoyed. Looking forward to therapy tomorrow at the plaza. Ceil will have a blood draw for her Dilantin level. Let's hope she is at the therapeutic level. See you tomorrow.

Monday
Ceil had good therapy sessions today at the Plaza. The therapists really like working Ceil. She is both funny and feisty at the same time, but she does work hard for them.

Au Voir Dale and Jag
Dale left today. He and the Jag were off on a road trip back to Texas. After a nice pancake breakfast and a morning of visiting, it was time to say goodbye. Ceil really enjoyed Dale's visit was sad to see him go, but he will return in the near future for another visit. Later, we went to the mall for an outing. We stopped by Macy's to visit Holiday Lane. Christmas is not far off. A good day overall.

Friday - Beautiful Day
Ceil went for a walk with Dale this morning. What a beautiful day for a Walk! Dale reminisced about childhood days as they made there way through the neighborhoods, and Ceil was smiling and enjoying every minute. Not sure what the rest of this Friday will hold, but check back if you can. Good day!
