Learning New Things

Today Ceil learned some new things with Steve, the PT. Steve had Ceil get up out of her chair and walk to the dining room table, and then back to her chair. Watching the process, I could see that Ceil struggled with the new details an directions Steve provided. Ceil was quite unsteady at first, but then gained her footing as she moved away from the chair. Although it was only 10 to 12 feet from chair to chair. For Ceil it seemed like a much longer walk. Ceil did complete a back and forth procedure with Steve, but it was a bit difficult for her. She nearly fell into the chair with exhaustion. Ceil was visibly shaken and somewhat upset. Steve consoled and encouraged Ceil that she had done a great job. Ceil later smiled and even joked a bit with Steve. Recovery is a difficult process, but I can see that Ceil is making so much progress every day here at home. And with the help of professionals like Steve, I am sure we will see even greater things from Ceil in the future!
