Today at the plaza Ceil had OT and PT. Last week, the OT had promised to talk to the rehab doctor about an electro-muscular stimulation unit for Ceil to use at home. Well, right away this morning she announced that the doctor signed off on the unit, and the EMPI rep was coming that same day, and had one with him for the OT to have. What a great start to the week in therapy! Now we can use the EMPI unit at home as an adjunct to the therapy Ceil will get at the plaza. This will also enhance the circulation and sensation to the right arm. I'll add pictures and video later for you to see from this morning's therapy sessions. Below you will see the OT explaining to me how to operate the unit and where to place the electrodes. The videos show a couple of OT exercises. The plaza is a great place and Ceil is already making friends.
