It has been another great week with Ceil. We have started out-patient therapy at the plaza, and have seen some promising movement in her right arm. I am amazed on a daily basis with the progress Ceil is making in her recovery, and with the new discoveries and awareness that each new day brings for her. Truly miraculous at times. Ceil will be going to a movie this afternoon with Doug and Doris. This will be the first time since her stroke that Ceil will be going to a movie theater. They will be going to see the film, "The American" with George Clooney, which was filmed in Italy. Due to the stroke, Ceil has a limited tolerance for loud noises and activities that require long periods of attentiveness. So, we will see how she does today with a full-length film in a theater setting. It is good to try new things, and Ceil has watched entire movies at home on several occasions.
Ceil gives the American two thumbs up! Ceil had a wonderful time with Doug at the movie. She came back all smiles and said the movie was "perfect!" That is a great review for a movie. Needless to say, Ceil enjoyed the movie and held up so well, which is another sign that Ceil is getting stronger and recovering nicely. It's all good! Have a great weekend!
