Saturday- Holidazzle Parade

We got Ceil up early today.  We left her in her jammies and robe this morning to have a little muffin and coffee with us.  After breakfast it will be a shower and then some errands.  After her lunch and a nap we plan on heading to the Twin Cities.  We'll pick up Kevin and Colleen in Crystal, then make our way to the Holidazzle Parade in Minneapolis. Plan is to grab a light dinner at Macy's deli and then find a spot to watch the parade. Rob call the Minneapolis Downtown City Council and told the lady on the phone about Ceil. She tipped us off on a quiet place in the skyways where we might be able to get a spot.  If you are in Minneapolis this evening we will be in the hallway that faces Nicollet Mall near Target.  Parade starts at 6:30.  Tomorrow we'll be baking Christmas Cookies with Hannah, Katie, Stevie, Christopher, and Denise.  Stop by if you want to bake and frost cookies with Ceil at around 2:30pm.
NOTE: Just back from the Holidazzle Parade- we all agreed it was the strangest parade we have ever seen. The parade was interrupted every thirty-forty seconds so the police could let the traffic through/across Nicollet Ave.  Total parade time was 30 minutes (it would of been maybe 15 minutes without the traffic interruptions).  We waited an hour and a half for the parade in the skyway only to have it be so short. We all laughed about this all the way back to Kevin and Colleen's.  Ceil was still laughing about it when we got home.  On another note- we did pick up good food at Macy's Deli and found a place in a skyway restaurant table (that was closed for the evening) to eat at (until they ran us off- thank goodness we were just finishing up ). Ceil had a good time and is now in bed getting some rest for her busy day tomorrow.

  1. All I can say is, I'm holidazzled! And, you can't beat that Minnesota nice. Don't want to inconvenience anybody with our little parade, don't you know. So, we'll be nice and let everyone take a turn. You just gotta love that Minnesota nice!
