A blog that is following the life of Cecelia, living at home after her stroke (which left her with right side paralysis and aphasia). There's no place like home!

Monday Update - OT Evaluation and a Follow-up Visit with Dr. D
Ceil will have a busy Monday morning. We have the home care OT coming to do an evaluation, and then it is off to a routine follow-up appointment with Dr. D. We will also begin a regular PT schedule tomorrow. Things are really looking up again for in-home therapy for Ceil! It's all about moving forward in the recovery process. Denise came this morning to visit and do Ceil's nails. Ceil was happy to see Denise, and they had a nice time talking and laughing while doing her nails. The OT came and did an evaluation of Ceil's current needs and functionality. The OT was impressed with how well Ceil was doing at home, and that her right shoulder subluxation was all but gone. The OT concluded that twice a week visits would be a good place to start, with an evaluation after one month. Afterward, we went to the clinic. The Dr. visit went very well. No changes or concerns were noted, and we will move the return appointments to four months out. All in all a busy, but good morning for Ceil.
