Saturday in Pictures III

Ceil woke up to a sunny day.  Kevin and Colleen were on their way to visit Ceil but ran into a little car trouble...flat tire :(  They decided they will head up this afternoon after Ceil's nap. Rob and Linda then decided it would be a good time to check out the new River's Edge Convention Center in downtown St. Cloud. After breakfast we headed downtown.  Upon arriving Ceil ran into some old friends from her dancing days...Norma, Al and Norma's nephew Jim.  They were happy to see Ceil looking so good.  They were there to check out the Beer Fest but were a few hours early. Linda knew they would be setting up for the event and  thought it would be a good time to look around.  The new center is beautiful and big.  The Beer Fest had about 75 booths set up.  Many local breweries were there.  No beer was flowing yet as the event did not start until 2:00pm.  Tickets were $30 and there was no intention on our part to stay, we were there just to look around. We walked all around the new center...downstairs and upstairs.  Perhaps we may have to check other events there as the occasion might arise.  After looking around, we shopped a little at Herbergers. Ceil hadn't been there for a long time. Ceil always enjoyed looking at the kitchen items there.  We went home for lunch (leftover chile- yum). Now Ceil is up waiting for her visitors to arrive...who knows who else might show up today!
Kevin and Colleen arrived with peppermint moonpies in hand. Hannah and Denise arrived also.  Kevin, Colleen and Hannah took Ceil to The Grande Depot ( http://www.thegranddepot.com ) to browse around. They all enjoyed looking at the food, wine and merchandise available.  Afterwards it was off to Culvers for dinner.  Ceil loves Culvers, and they all enjoyed dinner together.  At Culvers Ceil ran into Renee's sister Doris....Ceil usually can not leave the house without running into someone she knows.  Kevin and Colleen brought Ceil home after Culvers and visited for a bit, it was getting late so they said their good-byes. Thank you Kevin and Colleen for your visit and for the moonpies :)

Ceil met up with Al, Norma, and Jim at the new Rivers Edge Civic Center

  1. I agree, Fester--Beer! That new convention center is quite the digs, huh? You feel like you could set up shop there.

I want peppermint moonpies! Some people have all the luck. Peppermint moonpies, supper at Culvers. The good luck must come from a life time of clean living!
